Dominican Integrative Gathering
The Southern Dominican Province recently participated in the Dominican Integrative Gathering(DIG) from June 20 to June 24, 2011 at Our Lady of Florida Spiritual Center in North Palm Beach, Florida. This was a collaborative project and the national meeting of the four Provinces. The meeting was tailored for the development of friars in their first five years of ministry.

The mission of the event was to be an atmosphere that fosterd relaxation, collaboration and fraternal charity, in order to strengthen the preaching. DIG provided an opportunity for the friars of the four US provinces to gather in prayer, study and community and thus to get to know each other and appreciate the unity and diversity that is the Order of Preachers in the US.

This year's presenters were friars from the Southern Province, Fr. Paul Philbert, OP, former Provincial of the Southern Province, Fr. Wayne Cavalier, OP, director of the Congar Institute (Oblate School of Theology), and Fr. Scott O'Brien, OP, the out-going University Chaplain,
