Friar Highlight- Father Edward Everitt
Father Edward Everitt, O.P. has wanted to be a priest for as long as he can remember. Through his calling into priesthood Father Ed is able to follow his passion of preaching. His “a-ha moment” as a Friar in the Southern Dominican Province was the personal revelation that all people are made to the image and likeness of God.
Although he has not been to the movies in recent memory, he enjoys watching “The Mentalist” and recommends To Whom Shall We Go by Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan as the last book he read.
In his downtime, Father Ed enjoys quality time with friends and family in Waveland, Mississippi.
Father Ed’s favorite passage is Genesis: “In His own image and likeness He made them… this is very good.”
